I brought my cat, Pumpkin, to Bark City Veterinary this past Saturday after a disappointing experience at White Pine Vet, and I am so incredibly grateful I did. Two days prior, White Pine had attempted an enema that was unsuccessful. Because they had an interim doctor and closed early due to shortages, I left without an invoice or copies of his X-rays, and I was growing incredibly worried when he still hadn't passed anything. Their recommendation was to bring them to an ER, which the closest is Salt Lake City and for a cat that’s quite a drive. After seeing recommendations on Nextdoor, I decided to give Bark City a shot since they were open and close to home. From the moment we walked in, the staff was amazing. Even though they may primarily see dogs, I only say that cause of the reviews, not many of cats, the receptionists and vet techs were genuinely excited to welcome a cat. Dr. Kate Larson and her team were wonderful-they listened to my concerns, made me feel completely heard during a stressful moment, and worked mindfully within my budget constraints. They were able to perform a successful enema without needing sedation, meaning Pumpkin came back to me far less stressed than usual. As an added bonus, the exam rooms have windows! Taking a cat to the vet is usually a nightmare, but Pumpkin was completely preoccupied watching the ground squirrels outside because there exam room has windows. Pumpkin finally did his business about 30 minutes after getting home, and he has remained completely regular since. My relief is insurmountable. I will absolutely be switching to Bark City for his regular care. If you are a cat owner, do not hesitate to bring your cat here. Sincerely a grateful cat owner!

I want to sincerely thank everyone who helped save my dog’s life. Björn was diagnosed with GDV, and without the quick action of Dr. DiGiovannie and her team, he likely would not have survived. They understood how critical the situation was and acted immediately. They took the time to clearly explain what was happening and had everything prepared for his transfer to MedVet in Salt Lake after surgery. Because of their skill, efficiency, and care, we were able to bring our dog home to our family. We are incredibly grateful to have a facility like this in Park City that can provide such timely and life-saving care for our animals.

Do not take your pet here by any circumstances! All they want is to overcharge and not really do what is most helpful to the animal. We took our cat there who fell off a ledge and broke his leg in 3 places. They did not care that the animal had a nervous disorder (pamphigus) and does not like new people and a leg that would take at least 6 months to heal. His caretaker is also very unwell and immobile. They would not euthanize the cat to put him out of his misery. They just wanted the $800 to set his leg which he immediately took apart. The idea of rehoming him is not a good idea because he is so afraid of new people. I just can't believe that they would recommend that for him. Do not take you animal there. They obviously do not care about the owner or the animal, just the $. UPDATE...2-23-26. New posting...now, today, we find out that Bark City does not want the cat after all and contacted Nuzzles to take care of the cat and also have Nuzzles pay $600 for taking off the cat's front leg (which they quoted the owner 6,000-8,000 dollars) and then they want Nuzzles to try to re home the cat. The cat has a disease called pemphigus (an auto immune disease) and has difficulty using the litterbox because of a urinalysis issue. I would never trust this group with any recommendations from them. Do not take your pet to them! They put the owner and the cat into undeserved stress.

Was force to go here because they are open on Sundays, had heard nothing but bad reviews from friends in town. It’s all true poor reception, not very calm Vet Doc….poor service despite being most expensive vet in town…don’t go!
