I am sad to write this review because White Pine has been my go-to vet for a while due to how close they are to home, and I truly liked the receptionists and vet techs there. However, after my experience this past Thursday, I won't be returning. I brought my cat in for severe constipation, and he received an enema, which was unfortunately completely unsuccessful, and while I know it may take two enemas, this doctor had my cat sedated which put him in a daze for hours and hours, and the new doctor didn’t have to sedate him. The doctor on shift was an interim, stand-in doctor I had never met before, and the clinic closed early that day due to doctor shortages. To make matters worse, I left without receiving copies of his X-rays or an invoice, and despite asking, they were never sent to my email. Leaving with an unchanged, sick animal and zero paperwork left me incredibly anxious. After two days of no progress, my instincts told me I needed a second opinion, so I took him to Bark City Vet. They were able to safely repeat the procedure without sedation, and it was a complete success. When it comes to your fur baby, you have to trust your gut and listen to your instincts. I truly appreciate the support staff here, but due to the failed procedure, a rotating door of doctors, and a lack of communication follow-through, I will be switching clinics.

Disappointed with my recent visit. I waited over 30 minutes without a single check-in or explanation from staff. I had to go find someone myself just to find out what was going on. To then be charged for a full visit after that experience felt tone-deaf. Communication and basic customer courtesy should be a minimum — I hope they address this. Plenty of other options in the area…

A great experience as usual, Dr Mauer is awesome with my cats. The procedure cost more than I anticipated but the care was very good and the communication of any issues or procedures was very good. So what's a few extra bucks?
